Ericsson India reports a 20 per cent increase in revenues for the quarter ended December 2014

January 28, 2015

Ericsson India has reported a 20 per cent increase in its revenues from SEK 1,973 million for the quarter ended December 2013 to SEK 2,362 million for the quarter ended December 2014. Meanwhile, the revenues for the year ended December 2014 stood at SEK 7,702 million, an increase of 25 per cent from SEK 6,138 million for the year-ended December 2013. Its Indian business experienced the highest year-on-year growth for the company in 2014, as compared to the other regions.

According to Ericsson, the growth in its revenues can be attributed to the higher spending by the operators to support the growth in mobile data services. It added that the global services segment of its business showed a strong development due to the increase in its managed services contracts from the Indian operators.

Globally, the net sales of the company increased marginally by only 1 per cent from SEK 67 billion in October-December 2013 to SEK 68 billion for the corresponding period in 2014. Further, the yearly net sales of Ericsson in 2014 were about SEK 228 billion, against SEK 227.4 billion in 2013.
