Sonata Software has posted its results for the September 2012 quarter, say news reports. The company reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 259.8 million for this period, against a net profit of Rs 90 million a year ago, despite growth in revenues.
The company reportedly attributed its performance to the losses incurred on sale of its subsidiary, TUI InfoTec during the quarter.
Meanwhile, the company's total revenues stood at Rs 3780.1 million, up 49.33 per cent from Rs 2531.3 million in the corresponding period last year.
Sonata Software has two business verticals, including international IT services and domestic products. The international IT services business posted an increase of 24 per cent in revenues on year-on-year basis to Rs 818.19 million as against Rs 660.6 million in the same quarter last year.
In the domestic products business, it reported a 55 per cent growth in revenues and a growth in profit after tax at Rs 31 million.
