Interview with Kunal Singhal, Founder, EazyERP

December 26, 2013

EazyERP offers Tally integrated enterprise software solutions to various industry verticals such as telecom, foundry, forging, automobile, pumps, paints, wires and cables and infrastructure-real-estate.

In an interview with tele.net.in, Kunal Singhal, founder, EazyERP talks about the company’s business strategy, challenges facing EazyERP and the way forward for the company.

Edited excerpts…

What are the company’s focus areas?

The company is focused on providing cost effective and easy to implement enterprise resource management (ERP) solutions to small as well as large manufacturing companies across industry verticals. The company is specifically focused on providing customers inventory and asset tracking and billing management solutions.

EazyERP’s enterprise software solutions and ERP software solutions portfolio includes offerings such as Eazy ERP, Eazy Pay, Eazy CRM, Eazy Property and Eazy Asset.

What differentiates EazyERP’s offerings from competitors’?

The company offers Tally integrated enterprise software solutions which offer 100 per cent data synchronisation with Tally. The solutions offered by the company can be integrated with SAP, Oracle, Axapta and Navision etc. Unlike, international ERP solution providers which offer a standard product to clients, EazyERP offer users highly customised solutions catering to specific requirements of a client.

Moreover, the company offers users unlimited use of ERP solutions. Further, solutions offered by EazyERP are built on open based data sources, which do not require the support of high end servers which ultimately help companies reduce operational costs. In addition, the company’s portfolio of ERP solutions offers customers customisation features which can be leveraged to meet company’s industry-specific requirements.

What is the company’s business strategy?

Smaller companies are looking for customised low-cost ERP solutions. However, branded solutions available in the industry are highly rigid and fail to address the day to day requirements of the Indian companies. Besides, ERP solutions offered by established international players are highly priced. In such a scenario, we are targeting companies which are looking forward to adopting ERP solutions to increase efficiency and comply with various regulatory guidelines.

Further, the company offers users flexible solutions which can be easily upgraded at minimal costs from time to time.

What is the average cost of implementing an ERP system?

A small company needs to invest at least Rs 5,00,000 to implement a basic ERP system in the organisation. However, the cost of implementation can run in to lakhs for a mid-size or a large company which intends to replace its existing processes with the new age ERP system.

What are the challenges before the company?

By and large ERP continues to be a vague term with no standard industry definition for the concept. A very few companies have the expertise to understand the intricacies of the concept. Therefore, it becomes difficult to convince prospective clients about the merits and demerits of adopting specific solutions while promoting greater adoption of ERP solutions.

What are the company’s future plans?

EazyERP is looking forward to expand its reach in 2014. Currently, we provide services to companies in North and Central India. We have recently made inroads into Western and Eastern India by offering ERP solution to industries in Gujarat and Kolkata. In early 2014, the company will foray into South India as well.

We are also looking forward to strengthen our existing team which comprises 50 employees. In the next year, EazyERP will hire another 20 to 25 employees. The company is also hopeful of doubling its revenue from Rs 20 million to Rs 40 million in 2014. In addition, we are working towards acquiring another 50 to 75 clients over the next one year.

What are the technology trends that you foresee in the industry?

With the increasing adoption of 3G and 4G devices, there is a growing demand for integrated ERP solutions. A large number of companies want to access ERP solutions on the go through their smartphones and tablets. At the same, time the industry is also witnessing increasing demand for cloud-based solutions.
