ZTE collaborates with JSFC SISTEMA and Intellect Telecom
JSFC SISTEMA and Intellect Telecom have joined hands with ZTE Corporation, a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, to demonstrate the first navigation and communication terminal, which will use the Russian GLONASS and US GPS, European GALILEO and Chinese BEIDOU satellite systems. The demonstration took place at EXPO 2010, Shanghai.
The innovative design of the multi-mode navigation device ensures that the terminal receives and processes signals from all the major navigation satellite networks, creating a highly reliable and efficient positioning service, as well as enables mobile telephone calls using the GSM and CDMA networks.
"There is great demand for a trustworthy navigation system that can be used across borders. ZTE's innovative technology enables us to bring an effective solution to the market, which combines a global navigation system with an easy-to-use device, providing our customers with the experience they are looking for," said Yuri Gromakov, CEO of Intellect Telecom.
"As the best terminal customization partner, we worked closely with Intellect Telecom to create a device that will appeal to its subscribers and support a highly-reliable service," said Zeng Li, Vice President, ZTE Sales Division.
