ZTE partners with Telkomsel
ZTE Corporation has signed an LTE trial agreement with Indonesia-based PT. Telekomunikasi Selular (Telkomsel). According to the agreement, ZTE has started to provide LTE solutions to roll out Telkomsel's LTE trial network since August this year. ZTE will provide Software Defined Radio (SDR) technology which will help upgrade the operator's 2G and 3G services to LTE.
According to Ricardo Indra, General Manager, Corporate Communications, Telkomsel, "As the largest mobile operator in Indonesia, Telkomsel is committed to providing state-of-the-art connectivity services to its subscribers. ZTE excels in the LTE technology with their delivery capability and innovations, high quality solutions and services. We are very pleased to have ZTE as our partner in building LTE networks for our subscribers."
