BlackBerry appoints Narendra Nayak as managing director, India operations
BlackBerry has appointed Narendra Nayak as the managing director of its India operations. He succeeds Sunil Lalvani, who had resigned from the company in June 2015.
At BlackBerry, Nayak will be responsible for driving the company’s software and services business through all channels in India, including direct enterprise customers, network operators and distribution partners. He will also be responsible for BlackBerry’s growing ecosystem of indirect channels in India that includes value-added reseller (VAR), systems integrator and reseller partners.
Prior to joining BlackBerry, Nayak was associated with software firm Linguanext Technologies, where he managed the company’s business in India, Southeast Asia, Middle East and Africa. He has also held executive roles at CSC, IBM, Motorola and Digital Equipment India.
