Telenor Group appoints Morten Sorby as head of Asia region

Telenor Group has appointed Morten Sorby as the head of Asia region. He will succeed the current Asian head Sigve Brekke, who is now the president and chief executive officer of Telenor Group.
In his new role, Sorby will lead and oversee Telenor Group’s operations in Asia. He joined Telenor in 1993 and has previously been a member of Telenor’s executive management team for a number of years. In the past, Sorby has served as the executive vice-president (VP) in charge of corporate strategy and regulatory affairs in Telenor Group. He has also served as the EVP and head of the Norwegian and Nordic mobile and fixed network operations of Telenor.
