ZTE Corporation appoints Liu Peng as the new CEO of its Indian business
China-based telecom equipment manufacturer ZTE Corporation has appointed Liu Peng as the new chief executive officer (CEO) of its business in India. Peng will replace the present CEO, Xu Dejun, who has completed his tenure of 10 years and will now shift back to the company’s headquarters in China.
Prior to his appointment, he worked in various capacities within ZTE. He started his career at the company in 2007 as a sales director and was later appointed the managing director of ZTE India’s sales business. Peng has been helping the company to grow its business in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Africa, other than India.
Peng holds a doctorate degree in engineering and carries experience in marketing, sales and business development.
