Samsung Electronics appoints Rajiv Mishra as CSR Head in India
Rajiv Mishra has been appointed the head of corporate social responsibility (CSR) division of Samsung Electronics in India. Presently, he holds the position of vice president of internal and external communications in the company and the new appointment will be added to his current portfolio. Under the new role, he will be responsible for the innovations by the company to create value for society by addressing its needs and challenges.
Mishra joined Samsung in August 2014, prior to which, he was the chief executive officer of Lok Sabha TV. In this role, he led the overall functions of the channel including marketing, sales, distribution, production, hosting and telecasting programmes. He has also worked for leading media companies like the Hindustan Times, Star TV, TV Asia of USA, BAG Films and Media. Mishra is also the founder and first President of Association of Radio Operators for India (AROI) and also the first President of Association of Regional Television Broadcasters of India (ARTBI). He has recently been nominated as member, expert committee of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to develop papers on copyright issues.
