AUSPI appoints Sunil Batra as President
The Association of Unified Telecom Service Providers of India (AUSPI) has elected Sunil Batra, the current vice president, corporate affairs at Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) as its new president. Batra takes over from C S Rao, who is the current president, corporate affairs at RCOM. Batra was previously associated with Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) before moving to TTSL. He also has working experience in journalism.
Meanwhile, Sumit Monga, the general manager of Reliance Communications (RCOM), has been elected as vice president of AUSPI.
AUSPI is the industry body representing mobile operators with both GSM and CDMA technologies, including RCOM, TTSL and SSTL.
