AOC appoints Atul Jasra as Business Head for tablets and smartphones business in India and SAARC
Taiwan-based electronics company, AOC International has appointed Atul Jasra as Business Head for its tablets and smartphones business in India and other South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries. Under this role, Jasra will be responsible for establishing the tablet and smartphone business vertical for AOC. Prior to this appointment, he was involved with launching and establishing HCL ME tablets in India. During his career, Jasra has also headed the distribution business of Sony Ericsson Mobile Phone for more than four years. He has also been part of other launches in India including Casio Watches and Digital Cameras, and INQ Mobiles.
AOC International is planning to launch smartphones and tablets in India by November 2014. The company is likely to sign agreements with Indian telecom operators to provide bundled services.
