RJIL appoints Rainer Deutschmann as the new Chief Products and Innovation Officer
Rainer Deutschmann has been appointed the new Chief Products and Innovation Officer at Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL). Deutschmann will be responsible for development of the market strategy and work on the various elements of software, content and mobile internet. Also, he will represent all innovations across the company’s mobile, broadband, digital and technology platform.
Prior to the appointment, Deutschmann was working with Deutsche Telekom for around 10 years. At Deutsche Telekom, he worked for the products and innovation and corporate strategy divisions.
Deutschmann is a Harvard Business School alumnus with a PhD in Physics from the University of Munich. After working at McKinsey as an engagement officer for the telecom and technology practice, he switched to the industry in 2005. Since then, he has held several senior positions across strategic and operative positions at Deutsche Telekom.
