Ericsson reorganises its global team
With an aim to strengthen its global Radio business and Cloud and internet protocol (IP) business, Ericsson has reorganised its top management.
The telecom equipment vendor has appointed Arun Bansal as the head of its Radio business. Prior to his new role, Bansal was heading the South East Asia and Oceania region for Ericsson. He has been with the company for the past 20 years.
In another key movement, Ericsson has identified Anders Lindblad to lead the company’s Cloud and IP business. He has been associated with the telecom equipment vendor for the past 17 years and was earlier heading Ericsson’s operations in the Middle East region.
Both, Bansal and Lindblad will serve as senior vice-presidents at the company and continue to be the members of Ericsson’s Global Leadership Team. The company plans to name their successors over the next few days.
With the new organisational structure in place, Ericsson’s Radio and Cloud and IP business units will effectively come into operation beginning July 1, 2014. Ericsson has set-up these two units by splitting the company’s current business unit - Networks in a move to accelerate transformation within the company and support growth.
