Nokia’s Chennai factory head resigns
April 16, 2014
Prakash Katama, head of Nokia India’s factory in Sriperumbudur, has put in his papers at the company. He has been with Nokia for the past 14 years and was leading operations at the company’s manufacturing unit for the past years.
Katama will be succeeded by V Sembian, formerly head of product and process engineering at the manufacturing unit. Katama has quit the company in the midst of the prevailing uncertainty over the continuation of operations at the manufacturing plant as the Income Tax Department of India froze Nokia India’s assets in 2013.
