Sairam Prasad is chief technology officer at Bharti Infratel.He has over 15 years of experience in the telecom sector in areas of network rollouts, network planning, projects and operations. He is driving the company’s technical innovation initiatives. He has led Bharti Infratel’s P7 green tower project, which includes the adoption of clean technologies for power generation and improving energy efficiency at tower sites. He has also led major cost reduction programmes related to capex, opex and energy in the tower infrastructure businesses. In the past, he has held key positions at Tata Cellular - Bell Canada International, Birla Tata AT&T, Idea Cellular and WTTIL. He is a member of the GSMA Green Power for Mobile Working Group.
He is an electrical engineer with a certification in project management and Six Sigma.
