Sony has launched the Xperia M5 smartphone in India at a price of Rs 37,990.

The Xperia M5 features a 5-inch full HD screen with 1080x1920p resolution and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) operating system. It is powered by a 2 GHz 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor coupled with 3 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory, expandable up to 200 GB through micro SD card. It has a 21.5 MP rear camera and a 13 MP front camera with Sony's Exmor RS sensor.

The device has a 2,600 mAh battery and offers dual SIM, dual band Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, micro-USB and NFC connectivity options. The smartphone is available in black and gold colour variants.
