Xiaomi launches latest upgrade to its Android-based operating system MIUI 7
Smartphone-maker Xiaomi has launched the latest upgrade to its Android-based operating system MIUI 7, which includes several new features designed for India. MIUI 7 will be available in beta on August 24, 2015 for all Xiaomi smartphones sold in India. Xiomi’s MIUI is constantly undergoing localisation and now supports 10 Indian languages.
According to the company, it has refined MIUI over the past year to create MIUI 7. This OS has a user-friendly interface and delivers better performance. It also allows battery-saving optimisations and a wider variety of personalisation options. Xiaomi also stated that devices running on MIUI 7 will be able to witness 30 per cent faster response time when launching system apps, and 10 per cent better battery life in daily usage.
