HP launches Stream 8 tablet in India

Hewlett-Packard has launched the HP Stream 8 tablet in India at a price of Rs 16,990. The single-SIM device has an 8-inch HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 1280x800 pixels. It is powered by a 1.8 GHz Intel Atom processor with Intel HD graphics and runs on Windows 8.1 operating system. The Stream 8 tablet has 1 GB of DDR3 RAM and 32 GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 64 GB through a microSD card.
It features a 5 megapixel auto focus primary camera and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera. The HP Stream 8 tablet has connectivity options such as 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, and micro-USB. It is backed by a 4000 mAh Li-ion battery.
