Motorola launches the Google Nexus 6 smartphone in India

The Lenovo Group company, Motorola Mobility has launched the Google Nexus 6 exclusively on the e-commerce portal, Flipkart in India. The smartphone has a 5.96-inch qHD display with a screen resolution of 1440x2560 pixels. It is powered by a 2.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. It has 3 GB of RAM and the two variants of the smartphone have an internal storage of 32 GB and 64 GB.

It features a 13 megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilisation and dual-LED flash and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera. It The price of the 32 GB variant is Rs 43,999 for the 32 GB variant while that of the 64 GB variant is Rs 48,999.

Meanwhile, Google has launched the Chromecast for Rs 2,999 in partnership with Bharti Aritel and Snapdeal. The device allows for streaming videos from the Internet to a television from a laptop, phone or tablet. The device will support YouTube, Google Play Movies and Google Play Music, as well as applications from local partners like Eros Now, Spuul and Yupptv. Also, the existing internet users of Airtel will be able to access 60 GB of data for three months when they purchase a Chromecast.
