DIGISOL has introduced its new Wireless Access Point DG-WA3000NP with built in power over ethernet.

The DG-WA3000NP Wireless Access Point offers wireless data transmission rate up to 300Mbps, thereby enhancing the sharing of files, photo, audio, video and gaming experience over wireless network. It also supports power over ethernet and helps in easy installation by eliminating the need of a dedicated power source for the Access Point.

The access point enables communication between wireless and wired notebooks/desktop computers in the network. It complies with IEEE 802.11n standard and is backward compatible with IEEE 802.11b/g standard. The DG-WA3000NP Wireless Access Point has an internal RADIUS server for authenticating the wireless clients which provides additional level of network security and allows user access control in local area network.

The wireless distributed system function allows the DG-WA3000NP to act as an Access Point and wireless repeater at the same time. This feature helps users to bridge networks between buildings, where it is not possible to deploy any wired connections. This feature is useful at sites like airports, hotels and schools.

The DG-WA3000NP wireless Access Point supports WMM (Wi-Fi Multimedia) technology, enhances the performance by applying quality of service for certain network applications like audio/video streaming, VoIP and others. With WMM function, the wireless Access Point assigns priority to different types of data for better application performance.

The DG-WA3000NP Wireless Access Point supports up to four Service Set IDentifier (SSIDS). In addition to the main SSID, three more SSIDS can be configured each SSID can have its own unique profile of quality of service and security.

DGWA3000NP helps to protect sensitive data from hackers and also maintain confidentially of the wireless network. This is achieved by using security protocols ranging from 64/128 bit WEP encryption (first level of Security) to WPA2 Enterprise (highest level). DG-WA3000NP Wireless Access Point can be managed through web based graphical user interface for network configuration and management purposes.
