The Internet Service Providers Association of India (ISPAI) has filed a petition against DoT with TDSAT on the issue of surrendering WiMax spectrum. ISPAI has appealed against DoT for discriminating against ISPs and asking them to surrender the spectrum allotted to them in 2003, as it intends to auction it. DoT plans to auction the 2.5 GHz spectrum for a base price of about Rs 5.5 billion. ISPAI has told TDSAT that the reserve price, if any, should not be more than 20-25 per cent of the highest bid for the ISPs.
