Bharti Airtel has entered into an agreement with Australia Japan Cable (AJC) to interconnect the two companies' current and future networks at the Pacific island of Guam.

Bharti Airtel has entered into an agreement with Australia Japan Cable (AJC) to interconnect the two companies' current and future networks at the Pacific island of Guam. According to the terms of the deal, Bharti will also link its assets on the upcoming Asia-America Gateway cable with AJC that connects Australia with Guam and Japan. The joint network is expected to carry commercial traffic from the second half of 2009. The deal will enable Bharti to carry voice and data for telecom operators in Singapore, the west coast of the US and Australia.
