DoT has decided to appoint Mumbai-based auditors Parekh and Company to scrutinise the accounts of Reliance Communications (RCOM) and its subsidiaries under a special audit to ascertain if there has been any violation of revenue reporting norms to avoid payment of licence fees. RCOM, however, has denied the accusations.
Instead, it has stated that its payment of licence fees and spectrum charges is based on revenues arising from businesses covered by the unified access service (UAS) licence.
