Datacom is reportedly in talks with Turkcell, a Turkish telecom company and Europe's third largest operator by subscribers, to sell 51 per cent stake. The deal is expected to peg the enterprise value of Datacom at nearly $2.2 billion. Meanwhile, Turkcell has reportedly asked the Indian promoters of Datacom – the Videocon Group and Himachal Futuristic Communications Limited (HFCL) – to resolve their differences before entering into a deal.
The Videocon Group will first have to buy out HFCL's stake in Datacom before Turkcell can buy the stake.
