Tata Communications has signed an equity JV agreement with Beijing-based VAS and integrated IT solutions provider China Enterprise Communications for acquiring 50 per cent stake in the latter.

Tata Communications has signed an equity JV agreement with Beijing-based VAS and integrated IT solutions provider China Enterprise Communications for acquiring 50 per cent stake in the latter. The pact, signed by Tata Communications' wholly owned unit Tata Communications International, will enable the JV to provide networking services to multinationals as well as domestic enterprises in China. However, no financial details have been divulged. Meanwhile, Tata Communications has earmarked $500-$600 million as capital expenditure for 2008-09, of which$250 million will be used to expand its cable network.
