BSNL is exploring the possibility of hiving off its infrastructure business into a separate company. The company currently owns a portfolio of 32,000 GSM base transceiver stations (BTSs) and 7,000 CDMA BTSs. The state-owned company is also at preliminary stages of negotiations with TTSL, RCOM and Aircel for sharing passive infrastructure.
