Bharti Airtel has launched a range of m-commerce solutions, including mobile money transfer, post-paid bill payment and prepaid recharge on the mobile phone. The company has signed partnership agreements with banks and financial institutions such as ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, State Bank of India, Corporation Bank and VISA, for these services. Meanwhile, Bharti Airtel and Western Union have approached the Reserve Bank of India seeking changes in regulations so that the former's over 700,000 retail outlets across the country can offer cash-to-cash mobile money transfers.
