Alcatel-Lucent has been selected by Taiwan's Far EasTone to deploy a Wi-Max network along a major freeway linking Taipei city with Taoyuan International Airport.

Alcatel-Lucent has been selected by Taiwan's Far EasTone to deploy a Wi-Max network along a major freeway linking Taipei city with Taoyuan International Airport. Under the contract, AlcatelLucent will provide its end-to-end Wi-Max Rev-e solution including base stations, access controllers, core network, and operation and maintenance centre. Alcatel-Lucent will also provide network design, installation, commissioning and optimisation services for the project. The network is expected to be operational in early 2008.
