GSM operators are reportedly opposing TRAI's proposal to scrap the norm according to which a telecom operator cannot pick up more than 10 per cent stake in a competing operator in the same telecom circle. According to operators, the norm acts as a check against market domination, and protects customers against anticompetitive practices.
