ZTE has signed a $200 million deal with Ethiopia's state-owned telecommunications group, Ethiopia Telecom Corporation. The vendor aims to expand East Africa's telecommunications network. As per the agreement, ZTE will install 1.2 million mobile telephone lines in Addis Ababa and eight other towns. Meanwhile, the company has launched its new-generation IMS-based solution, ZIMS, at the Global NGN Summit. ZIMS is an end-to-end solution supporting multi-network convergence with an open structure.
