Cellular operators plan to set up a common mobile advertising exchange that will allow companies to advertise on mobile phones.

News , April 15, 2007

Cellular operators plan to set up a common mobile advertising exchange that will allow companies to advertise on mobile phones. The exchange will provide service providers with profiles of cellular subscribers and enable them to target specific consumer segments. Currently, telecom operators are looking for ways to incentivise subscribers to accept advertising, including using the lure of offering lower tariffs or extra talktime.
