The Bharti Airtel and RCL consortiums have lost the bid for Saudi Arabia's mobile licence. A consortium led by Kuwait's Mobile Telecom Company has emerged as the highest bidder with a $6.11 billion bid for the licence. However, the winner still needs cabinet approval. According to Saudi Arabian telecom regulator Communications and Information Technology Commission, the successful applicant has still not been determined.
