Aircel has stated that it will launch its 3G services in 61 towns in Bihar by December 2015. The towns include Arrah, Buxar, Motihari, Sitamarhi, Lakhisarai, Begusarai, Dighwara, Bettiah, Aurangabad, Jehanabad, Purnia, Nalanda, Biharsharif and Munger, among others.

Further, the operator has stated that it will provide a maximum 3G speed of 7.2 Mbps in these towns.

Aircel had earlier announced that it is planning to add around 850 mobile towers across the West Bengal and Kolkata circles at an investment of Rs 1 billion by end-2015. The operator plans to add 350 sites in the Kolkata circle and around 500 in the West Bengal circle. Further, most of the planned towers would be supporting 3G network.
