Bharti Airtel has reported a 10 per cent increase in its net profit, from Rs 13.8 billion in the quarter ended September 2014 to Rs 15.22 billion for the quarter ended September 2015. The low growth rate was on account of high capex incurred by the company, which grew from Rs 37.2 billion to Rs 50.3 billion, during the same period.

Meanwhile, the company’s total revenues grew marginally from Rs 228.4 billion for the quarter ended September 2014 to Rs 238.35 billion for the quarter ended September 2015. This was accompanied by a 7 per cent growth in EBIDTA, which increased from Rs 77.4 billion to Rs 82.6 billion, during the same period.

For its Indian operations, the company’s voice average revenue per user (ARPU) declined by 11 per cent, from Rs 158 in September 2014 to Rs 143 in September 2015. However, its data APRU grew by 28 per cent from Rs 150 to Rs 193, during the same period. Further, its 3G subscriber base grew by 55 per cent from 15.4 million to 23.8 million, also during the given period.
