Idea Cellular has reported a 7 per cent increase in its net profits from Rs 7.55 billion for the quarter ended September 2014 to Rs 8.09 billion for the quarter ended September 2015. Idea’s total 3G subscriber base grew from 10.52 million in September 2014 to 19.58 million in September 2015. This was accompanied by an increase in 3G data average revenue per user (ARPU), from Rs 195 to Rs 202 during the same period. However the company’s voice ARPU declined from Rs 139 in September 2014 to Rs 126 in September 2015.
