TRAI to conduct a call drop test drive in Mumbai and Delhi on September 28
September 24, 2015
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) will start testing the networks in the Delhi and Mumbai circles from September 28, 2015 to ascertain whether operators have taken measures to address the call drops issue.
Earlier, the regulator had floated a discussion paper in this regard. The first round of consultations was completed on September 21, 2015 and it is currently open for counter comments. On September 28, 2015 the counter comments will be closed.
TRAI would then hold open house discussion on October 1, 2015. Thereafter, it is likely to take about a week to come out with the final policy.
