Telecom operators add 4.5 million GSM customers in August 2015

As per the data released by the Cellular Operators Association of India (COA), the telecom operators have added around 4.5 million GSM customers in August 2015. As a result, the total number of GSM customers in the country reached 726 million as of August 2015. In comparison, the operators had added around 4.7 million GSM customers in July 2015.
Bharti Airtel added 1.31 million customers while Vodafone India added 1.13 million customers in August 2015. Idea Cellular added 1.17 million customers, Aircel added 0.38 million customers and Uninor added 0.39 million customers during the same period.
