Aircel targets 10 million customers in Assam

Aircel has set a target to more than double its subscriber base in Assam to 10 million by 2020. At present, the operator has 4.6 million subscribers in the state. The operator expects to add another 0.4 million subscribers by end-2015.
Aircel also aims to generate revenue of at least Rs 18 billion over the same period.
Aircel is the second largest operator in the state. It is the only telecom operator that offers 4G long term evolution (LTE) services in Assam. The 4G services are being offered in Guwahati, Jorhat, Sivasagar, Tezpur and Silchar.
