Ericsson to invest $15-20 million in its Pune manufacturing unit

Ericsson is investing $15-20 million in its manufacturing plant being set up at the Indospace Industrial Park, Chakan, Pune.
The company plans to manufacture transmission or microwave products, in this facility, which will serve as an export hub for the company. The initial investment of about $ 20 million will be utilised for installing automated machinery.
Ericsson already has a manufacturing unit in Jaipur, Rajasthan, which primarily fulfills the Indian demand.
The Pune plant will start production by May 2016. It will initially cater to the demand in the Indian market, and would start exporting products to India's neighboring countries by the end of 2016.
