Bharti Airtel and Idea Cellular reportedly hike postpaid data tariffs in several circles

Bharti Airtel and Idea Cellular have reportedly hiked data tariffs by 20 per cent for its postpaid customers in several circles. This follows a data tariff hikes by the two operators for prepaid customers in June 2015.
Airtel has increased data tariffs in Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh (East) and Uttar Pradesh (West) circles. Airtel has stated that higher tariff will be applicable only for new subscribers.
Meanwhile, Idea Cellular has raised data tariffs in Delhi, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh (West) circles. Accordingly, postpaid customers of the two operators will now have to pay Rs 300 per 1 GB of 3G data usage, as compared to Rs 250 earlier.
