LAVA gets 100 acres of land for mobile unit along Yamuna expressway
The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has allotted Lava Mobiles 100 acres of land along the expressway to set up an electronics manufacturing cluster (EMC).
The formalities for the same will be completed by September 2016. The land will be handed over to Uttar Pradesh Development Systems Corporation Ltd (UPDESCO), which will develop and transfer it to the company within six months. The total land cost for the project is estimated to be about Rs 1.6 billion and 5 per cent of this amount, including the booking amount of Rs 0.11 billion , has already been collected by YEIDA.
At present, Lava has a research and development centre in Bangalore and an assembly facility in Noida.
