Vodafone invests Rs 2.5 billion in 2014-15 to ramp up its network n Bihar and Jharkhand
Vodafone India has invested Rs 2.5 billion to expand its network, distribution and retail presence in the Bihar and Jharkhand circle during 2014-15.
The operator has expanded its network footprint by adding over 1,250 new sites across the circle, including 130 plus sites in Dhanbad alone. Following the network expansion, Vodafone India now reaches out to customers in over 33,500 towns and villages in the Bihar and Jharkhand circle.
Following the network expansion, Vodafone India now has over 9,000 2G sites in Bihar and Jharkhand circle covering over 79 per cent of the region’s population. Further, through an intra circle roaming pact with other operators, Vodafone India is also providing a seamless 3G roaming experience its customers across additional 2,500 towns and villages in the Bihar and Jharkhand circle.
