Ziox Mobiles invests Rs 5 billion to set-up handset assembly unit in Delhi
Delhi-based Sun Airvoice-promoted Ziox Mobiles has decided to invest Rs 5 billion for establishing a mobile device assembling unit in Delhi and a distribution network across the country. The manufacturing unit will house 7-8 assembling lanes with a capacity to produce 500,000-600,000 devices per month and is expected to be commissioned by end-July 2015.
Ziox has tied-up with a Chinese vendor for importing mobile handsets and accessories in semi-knocked down condition which will then be assembled at the Delhi facility.
The company plans to set up four other assembling units in the country by December 2016. It is targeting a turnover of Rs 2 billion by December 2015, which it expects to increase to Rs 5 billion by December 2016.
