DoT is planning to introduce technical verifications for operators' networks to check for factors such as the distance between two base stations and the carrier deployment pattern. This objective is to ensure that mobile operators are using their radio frequency efficiently. DoT plans to form a dedicated group to undertake the task. The verification process is proposed to be carried out only when operators want more than 10 MHz radio frequency for GSM-based services and beyond the fourth carrier for CDMA based operators.
