TDSAT directs Bharti's national long distance traffic to be carried out by BSNL
August 15, 2006
The Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) has directed that Bharti's national long distance (NLD) traffic would be carried by BSNL from the point of origin. In its petition to TDSAT, Bharti had contended that it was entitled to carry long distance call traffic on its own up to the point where its network was available. This would result in huge savings as it would nothave to pay interconnection charges to BSNL.
