Millicom International Cellular calls off the $5.3 billion takeover talks with China Mobile

After prolonged discussions, Luxembourg-based mobile operator Millicom International Cellular has reportedly called off the $5.3 billion takeover talks with China Mobile, China's largest mobile carrier in terms of subscriber numbers. According to sources, the two companies could not decide on a final price. However, the Chinese company which has been trying to build an international presence will continue its search for overseas assets.
