Aircel to add 850 towers in the West Bengal and Kolkata circles

Aircel is planning to add around 850 mobile towers across the West Bengal and Kolkata circles at an investment of Rs 1 billion by end-2015.
The operator plans to add 350 sites in the Kolkata circle and around 500 in the West Bengal circle. Further, most of the planned towers would be supporting 3G network. At present, the operator has a total of 4,000 2G and 3G towers in the Kolkata circle and around 3,800 in the West Bengal circle.
The operator presently has 7.5 million users in the West Bengal and Kolkata circles and is expecting a 50 per cent growth in its subscriber base by December 2016.- Most Viewed
