TTSL expands its 2G and 3G network in Karnataka
Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) has installed 1,000 3G and 500 2G base transceiver stations (BTSs) across Karnataka. The move is aimed at strengthening the operator’s network in both rural and urban regions in the state.
Earlier, TTSL had announced its 3G network expansion plans across the Kerala circle. The operator is planning to scale up its network by installing more than 300 new 3G towers across Kerala, covering all major towns and district headquarters.
In addition to network expansion, the operator is also focusing on improving its distribution channels. It has recently opened its 74th store in Karnataka.
At present, the operator has around 10,000 towers, 500 distributors, 60,000 retail touchpoints and 160 technologically advanced branded retail stores across key towns in the country.
