Quippo buys stake in Tata's tower subsidiary

Quippo Telecom Infrastructure Limited (QTIL) is set to complete its purchase of 49 per cent stake in Tata Teleservices Limited's cellular tower arm, Wireless Tata Telecom Infrastructure Limited.
QTIL has earmarked $3 billion for expanding its facilities as well as acquiring new entities during 2008-09. Earlier this year, it acquired Spice Communications' tower portfolio for Rs 6 billion.
