BSNL to allow landline users avail free call benefits on mobile
October 19, 2015
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is planning to rollout a convergence platform that will link its subscribers’ mobile and fixed line accounts.
The convergence platform will enable BSNL’s mobile customers to avail free calling benefits and other value added services that are being offered on their landline phones. Further, the subscribers would be able to receive their landline calls on mobile phones.
The operator had earlier launched free night calling and free roaming schemes for its landline and mobile customers respectively. BSNL is also planning to tie up with Hitachi’s ATM business unit which will allow its landline customers to make payment anytime during the day.
